Thanks so much for following me here! Just wanted to let all of you know, that I won’t be posting on here as frequently as I used to do, but you’ll surely still be seing me around. How so? Well, to find out, you’ll simply have to keep checking the blog for news! Thanks again!

THE FOUNTAINHEAD

[HearDis! 321]

Meet Maxmillion Dunbar aka Max D. This guy runs the incredible Future Times Label straight out of D.C. and is also one half of the always amazing duo Beautiful Swimmers. Be it with his DJ sets, his productions ranging from classic House to Ambient, or the releases he curates on his label – he’s just an inexhaustible source of inspiration to any music enthusiast. So we’re psyched he releases a new LP these days on RVNG Intl. entitled “House Of Woo”, which is inspired by his relationship to his girlfriend. Now, given this approach, could the result be anything else than a beautiful record with multiple facets? Of course not, so here’s a little teaser for you guys: The Nod Mix of “The Figurine” as a free download! We’re not the biggest fans of empty phrases here, but well: Sometimes, the best things in life are free!

LODZ, TEXAS

[HearDis! 319]

Kamp! is a Polish electronic pop trio from Lodz, Poland. Their sound is often described as melodic synth-pop influenced by 80′s new wave, 70′s krautrock and 90′s french house genres. New York’s number one disco ensemble Midnight Magic, who beamed us all the way up with their eponymous instant classic in 2010, deliver a stunning remix on the newest release of Kamp! on Discotexas entitled “Melt”. Check it out right here and remember not to mess with Discotexas!

MY NOT SO SECRET ADDICTIONS

Hey guys,

Nina here! It’s been a while since you’ve heard from me and I just wanted to share a little snapshot I recently took in Berlin with y’all. I kinda like it because it shows a nice combo of two of my biggest obsessions: vinyl records and neat little handbags! I go shop for records whenever I get the chance and I love that I sometimes have the privilege, as in this pic, to calmly browse the storage place of a record store. I always get really excited in places like that and dig my way through the many new and unknown treasures one can find there. And since so much good music is still or often not available digitally, you can find quite a few cool secret weapons here that can add some uniqueness to your dj set! Of course a shopping spree like that needs the right purse to go with it – and I simply love my stylish little HUGO leather clutch! One can never have enough nice records or handbags, if you ask me…

Love,
Nina

DO THE ROMANTIC ROBOT

[HearDis! 317]

Oliver Ho alias Raudive, who picked his nom de plume referring to the Letvian writer and intellectual Konstantīns Raudive, is a British DJ and Producer. He’s been arousing enthusiasm amongst Club DJs for quite a while now with his mechanical – yet emotional – productions and releases. “Romantic Robot” is a solid floor filler, enhanced with a stripped down bassline, a vintage cowbell and hypnotic shakers. Sophie is a Scottish producer who releases on the acclaimed Huntleys & Palmers imprint. “Nothing More To Say” is the type of house track that is just like a huge portion of pink cotton candy: Sooo sweet and sticky – yet you can’t help but to crave for more of it! Download it right here to indulge your sweet tooth! But careful: Don’t trip over a flamingo and try not to spill your lychee martini, while you’re grooving to this one into a rosy future on a white beach…

SEE YA LATER!

Good Day HUGO followers and followettes,

it’s Kasper once again sending you guys a little greeting from Copenhagen!
Just returned from Sónar Reykjavík where I had a crazy couple of days, playing alongside acts like Modeselektor, James Blake, Squarepusher, Trentemoller, Pachanga Boys and many others…
I had a lot of fun sharing some interesting moments and things I like with y’all (check the HUGO BOSS Youtube Channel and the HUGO BOSS Instagram page for some cool pics & flicks) throughout the last couple of months. You may won’t hear from me as frequently as you did lately on here, but I sure won’t be a stranger and will pop up here and there on the blog with a track, a recommendation or whatever… Just wanted to let you guys know I had a good old time! I’ll catch you guys later…

His newest Vinyl EP on ESP Institute (founded by the incredible Lovefingers) proves just that. Intelligently produced dance music that stimulates both – your rational and your emotional brain. PUT YOUR BODY IN IT

[HearDis! 314]

Manhooker are Guiddo (DJ/Producer) and Mavin (Singer/Songwriter). They’re based in Berlin and for their first release, they receive support by legendary Ostgut Ton (the label behind the Berghain/Panorama Bar-family) and Cologne’s legendary Kompakt empire. Given all of that, it wouldn’t catch anyone off guard if this would be a house record in the word’s most classical sense, would it? Download the track right here and put your body in it! So, you’ll use the rhythm, and you dance and sing along, while you’re drowning in the song…
