Erwan Castex aka Rone is a young and aspiring French electronic music artist. It makes complete sense that he’d major in film studies at university, since his music tends to showcase just that epic type of atmosphere that accounts for the greatness of so many classic movies. “Tohu-Bohu” is the name of his fantastic new album on InFiné Music and “Bye Bye Macadam” is the title of the great single you’re able to listen to right here. It even features his own voice and that of his girlfriend, but both were modified digitally to give the track that mysterious twist that makes you want to listen to it over and over again. We’re sure you’ll hear much more about and from Rone in the future, so check out his album and also his videos, as they are, unsurprisingly, great works of art as well!

Dirty McKenzie: Minnesotan, electronic music veteran and head of the Nu Disco label Bass United, graces us with a new remix-release for 2013! The record features the original version – showcasing the great voice of Sophia Shorai – and remixes by the always amazing Faze Action, Bryan Gerrard and Cocaine On Her Dress. The latter is a top-notch Italo Disco-influenced slow burner and is available right here for you streaming pleasure! Forgive us lord for we have synth!

Just as so many other sectors in today’s world, the dance music scene is more intertwined than ever and interesting intercontinental output is produced nearly every day. Paris in the house again! This time via London. Morgan Hammer, a Paris-based female artist, presents us her first EP on Matt Walsh’s Clouded Vision imprint and we’re pretty impressed! Friend of (the) house Jacques Renault can do no wrong in our book! The Brooklyn-based DJ, Producer, Let’s Play House-co-owner and jacques of all trades is back at it again for 2013, providing us with a stunning double A-side on his own imprint. “Back To You” is the type of disco influenced house banger that comes to light, when one’s not some knucklehead with a wifi modem, but a classically trained musician with a bullet-proof understanding of dance music. The release features a remix by Parisian bearers of hope “Paradis”, who’ve already put out amazing stuff on Beats in Space and who manage to live up to all high expectations once again. We have the Paradis remix right here as a free limited download! You should put this on your portable device and play it while heading over to your local record store to pick up also the vinyl record… Talk about a no-brainer!
