What a show! Yesterday, the new HUGO Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 was presented in Berlin. Over thirty international top models showcased the HUGO Mens- and Womenswear on a snow-white, 38-meter catwalk – among them Kasia Struss, Jac, Liu Wen, Clément Chabernaud, Sean O´Pry and Simon Nessmann.

The new HUGO looks for Spring/Summer 2012 are affected by a a minimalistic, post-modern look, with silhouettes that seem clean and reduced. The colors ranged from grenadine to silver, white and of course, stylish black. The pattern fitted perfectly to the white realm around the audience, where HUGO presented its new collection. As always, a really impressive presentation with a standing ovation finale for Creative Director Eyan Allen.

Sneak a peek at the rehearsal for the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2012. If you look closely, you may spot a tiny but important detail: All models are walking barefoot to protect the runway!

Despite all the stress, the male models Gen Huismans and Sean O’Pry are having fun and never get tired of posing in front of my camera.

I just spotted Hilary Swank and the Jagger sisters backstage choosing their outfits for the red carpet tonight. Of course, they will all be wearing HUGO. Georgia May Jagger fell in love with a red tube dress and I am curious if she will stick to her first instinct and show up in it at the show tonight.

While we are all getting ready for the rehearsal, I would like you to enjoy some more backstage impressions and give you a few facts about the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2012 tonight: The theme of the new HUGO Collection for Spring/Summer 2012 is “Poetic Tailoring”, so you are going to see phenomenal post-modern and minimalist looks on the runway. Speaking of runway, the top models Kasia Struss, Catherine McNeil and Chinese super-model Liu Wen will all take part in the show. And for those of you, who want to know who’s sitting in the front row: Seats are reserved for the Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank, actor Eric Bana, top model Helena Christensen, model and it-girl Georgia May Jagger and her sister, Elizabeth Jagger. Today is the day before the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2012, which means that the tension is rising. The whole team is now backstage at the show location in Berlin and model after model is arriving for the last fitting appointment. Philip Huang and Reid Prebenda have already been walking the runway at a previous HUGO Fashion Show together, so they were more than happy when they bumped into each other.
