After sharing my adventures at Berlin Fashion Week with you, it’s only coherent I’d take Fashion Week in my hometown Copenhagen as an occasion to show you guys some nice spots in my city. So, here’s a little profile-clip on the V1 Gallery (Flæsketorvet 69 – 71, 1711 Copenhagen). Not just because I’m friends with the guys in charge am I a sucker for this place, but first and foremost because they’ve been gracing our town with extraordinary exhibits for a good decade now. RYFN is a duo from Barcelona and their music makes one suspect that they a: have been to more than one club in their lives where electronic music was played and b: probably have more than one Depeche Mode record sitting on their shelves. Portuguese duo Johnwaynes recently released an EP on one of Brooklyn’s most thrilling underground labels “Let’s Play House”. On that release their track “I Can See” receives the remix treatment from label owner Jacques Renault – with breathtaking results. You got your punching kick there, your smooth bassline and a lovely cow bell melody. What more is there to desire?

A young producer from Sheffield packs up his things after graduating from university to travel through India for six months. Having been a world renowned Producer and Disc Jockey of Housemusic for more than 20 years, we’re quite positive the air connection in our heading has surely shown up on Jori Hulkonnen’s travel itinerary many times over the years. The Italian Slok considers himself more of a great pasta chef than an underground contemporary electronic music artist…we’re not buying it, because for his new release for Circle Music he teamed up with his brothers in crime My Favourite Robot. „Feel Alive“ is a contemporary house monster which mixes up the goods of nineties house like warm organ chords and an oldschool styled bassline with MFRs sleepy melancholic vocals. Deep and sexy indeed!

Matthias Zimmermann, heavyweight new talent on the bass and post-dubstep scene brings us his first vinyl release on Tigersushi after his debut EP on Sound Pellegrino and a single on the coolish Discobelle Blog/Label.
