Get People are a London-based band making tropically tinged, electronic rock. It sounds a little like The Knife, a little like Caribou, a little like Metronomy and a lot like a dream. We’re streaming the track, “Macaw,” above. Enjoy.

My favourite part of spring is enjoying the sun peeking through the clouds. Top model Kasia Struss shows us how to do it in her style. She gets into the summer spirit wearing oversized sunglasses with her beautiful dress from the HUGO Summer 2012 collection. Enjoy the sun!

This one’s a real slow burner. John Talabot – the mysterious Spanish producer that sometimes wraps his head in tinfoil to hide his identity – has added all kinds of restrained bounce to The Golden Filter‘s “Kill Me” for this remix. If you’re into it, we highly recommend you go out and check Talabot’s full-length ƒin and the Golden Filter album from which the original track comes, Syndromes.
100% Silk is a label spun off from LA’s Not Not Fun imprint. Since January of 2011, they’ve been releasing twelve-inches (and even some cassettes!) showcasing left-of-center, warm electronic music. Fort Romeau – a side project of La Roux keyboard player, Mike Norris – is their newest signing and the first artist to release a full LP on the label. The album, Kingdoms, is a meditation on Larry Heard and Theo Parrish-inspired house, with off-kilter grooves held up by thick, analog bass drums. We’re very happy to present the title track from the album for free download. Dig in.
Summer is coming and the temperature is rising again. There is one question in everybody’s mind: How to look stylish and keep it cool at the same time? I have good news for you: Short sleeved shirts are back as an essential trend. A simple but wonderful choice from the HUGO Summer 2012 collection. Take it as a clean and minimalist approach to your casual style and beat the heat this summer.

Are you super? Are you contemporary yet classy? Matthias Schweighöfer is! Hot as hell and cool as ice, the German actor was wearing the HUGO Superblack suit at the 33rd Jupiter Award in Berlin last week. If you can’t get enough of his “Superblack style”: The suit is available in stores and online. Wanna see the HUGO Superblack suit in action? Watch our video featuring top model James Rousseau looking super in all situations. And guess who was also looking cool in HUGO at the 33rd Jupiter Award? It was German actor Florian David Fitz who joined his colleague Matthias Schweighöfer on the red carpet.

HUGO Tracks Podcast Lucky Number Thirteen is here! This month we’ve got jams from Doe Paoro, Kasper Bjørke, 120 Days and Holy Ghost in the mix. If you don’t know, the HUGO Tracks Podcast is a monthly mix we make compiling all the music we’ve offered up to stream and download over the past month. You can listen to it right here right now, or you can download it via iTunes and take it wherever you want to go. We suggest outer space.
Joakim, the Parisian musical-polymath and head of Tigersushi Records, has been keeping the scene in awe with his eclectic releases for well over a decade now. Throughout his career, he has constantly managed to put out music that actually deserves the rather worn out label “avant-garde”, while never leaving the listener with a “doing homework”-sort of feel. His influences range from The Stooges to Italo Disco, but as his newest gem reveals again, he always finds his way out of the genre-labyrinth in a refreshingly classy manner. Forward ever, backward never!

I simply adore stylish celebrity couples like Olivia Palermo and Johannes Huebl. Not because they both look fabulous, but because they look fabulous as a couple. For inspiration’s sake, here are some great couple styles from the HUGO Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

In just a couple days, Kasper Bjørke, our favorite Danish producer ever, is releasing a new record called Fool. And though it’s being released on April Fool’s Day, this is no joke: we’ve got the bonus track from the new record here for free download. It’s called “Mansisters” (a very funny name if you ask us), and it’s grrrrrreat.
