The nineteen year old, New York based producer Nicolas Jaar grew up in Santiago de Chile and developed a deep love for Ethiopian Jazz and avant-garde musicians like John Cage. But when his father gave him Ricardo Villalobo`s Album “Thé Au Harem D`Archimède” as a birthday present his focus slightly shifted from simple experiments on the piano to an ever growing fascination with electronic music. With “A Time For Us” he presents to us his very own definition of techno which is very slow, warm and melancholic. He says that he is “going to keep taking beats even slower”, so you can really look forward to his upcoming Album “^tre”.
