The new Superblack suit from HUGO radiates intensity thanks to its unique dyeing process and sharp, narrow cut. Discover the story behind the suit.
The enduring appeal of the all-black suit
The black suit is a modern style icon and features in every man’s wardrobe. So how can you stand out when wearing one? HUGO has the answer. There is black, and then there is HUGO Superblack.
A unique fabric
HUGO’s Italian manufacturer spent no less than five years developing an exclusive process that allows pigment to deeply penetrate its pure wool yarn for an intense, fade-proof hue. This Super 130 thread is woven into a fine wool cloth from which every HUGO Superblack suit is cut.
How to wear it
While the colour is crucial, the style and cut also define this contemporary suit. The single-breasted jacket features a narrow fit, piped pockets and rounded shoulders, casting a sharp silhouette as suited to business as it is to drinks after night falls.
Go for a sharp monochrome look in an extra-slim fit white shirt and narrow black tie, or up the intensity with a tonal black shirt. For a more unconventional twist, wear your Superblack suit with a T-shirt and Chelsea boots.
Each HUGO Superblack suit is completed with a unique finishing process to seal its colour. This prevents the fabric from fading over time, ensuring a lasting deep, dark hue and subtle sheen.
Still not into black? A Supernavy suit is also available from HUGO.
