Typically when we hear that there’s new music from Digitalism on the way, we brace ourselves for raucous dancefloor anthems. But “2 Hearts”, one of the tracks off of their recently released sophomore record, “I Love You, Dude“, breaks the mold completely. “2 Hearts” is an indie rock ballad that owes more to Interpol than it does to Daft Punk. No matter who they were inspired by when they were making it, the end product is great. We’re happy to see them heading in this direction.
“2 Hearts” has been chosen as the anthem for the MELT! Festival, happening this weekend in Ferropolis, a city of iron near Dessau, Germany. Digitalism will be playing, as will Little Dragon, Cut Copy and a ton of others.
