THE VIBRANT MULLET BLOUSE

After mullet dresses and skirts the short-front-long-back-trend has now reached tops and shirts. I spotted this eye-catching mullet shirt above in our HUGO Showroom the other day and I instantly could imagine myself sporting it with black leggings or skinny jeans and a pair of Espadrilles. I love the flowing fabric and the vibrant color. The mullet shirt is from the HUGO Summer 2013 collection and now available in stores.

MIDAS’ TOUCH

Kate Boy is a four-piece band from Stockholm, Sweden. And boy, these guys are on to something! They’ve taken us by storm ever since we first heard of them. Be it the voice of singer Kate Akhurst, who is originally from Australia and now resides in Stockholm, or the band’s phenomenal arrangements and productions – we’re prediciting them a bright bright future! IN HOUSE WE TRUST

[HearDis! 334]

Germany’s own Kris Menace surely isn’t a stranger in the realms of electronic music, considering that he’s released numerous classy tracks on several labels over the years. Now it shouldn’t be too hard to guess what the outcome of him collaborating with an absolute legend of Chicago house would sound like… Quite a no-brainer, that that would be something house heads around the globe could have faith in, no? Yup, his latest single “Trusting me” features the one and only Robert Owens on vocals, who has significantly helped to shape the triumphal march of (t)his genre with his former group Fingers Inc and so many other projects and tracks. Calling Robert the voice of house music isn’t too much of an overstatement, if you ask us! The single comes with a load of top notch remixes (Le Crayon, Penner & Muder, Good Guy Mikesh & Filbuert etc.) and an incredible video shot by award winning Danish director Meeto Worre Kronborg Grevsen from We Make Colors (check it right here!). Trust us – you wouldn’t want to miss out on this one!

FERGIE ROCKING RIO IN HUGO SPRING 2013

Yesterday I’ve been rocking in Rio with no other than the infamous singer and songwriter Fergie! The gorgeous mom-to-be was sporting an elegant yet comfy look from the HUGO Spring 2013 collection. I really loved the summery colors and as you may already know printed pants are a huge trend this season. So thumbs up for Fergie!
The reason for our celebration was the opening of our two BOSS Stores in Rio at Shopping Leblon and the new Village Mall. Rio is a great place for shopping and partying and last night we had the perfect mix of both! I also had the pleasure to meet Brazilian actress Fernanda Paes Leme and BOSS model Alex Lundqvist. Now I have to catch my plane back to Germany. Enjoy some snapshots of the event and be sure to check out my twitter and instagram updates from last night!

VORTEX OF EMOTIONS

[HearDis! 331]

Vin Sol hails from sunny California and calls himself a drum machine freak, vinyl creep and dance music otaku. Not the worst initial situation if one wants to produce clever dance music, right? And that’s exactly what Vin does. He has a new EP coming out on Unknown To The Unknown which is called “Edges Of A Vortex” and right here you can check out its title track! This is quite the surreal party starter, riddled with Chicago house references, which should get you geared up while you’re cannonballing along the French Riviera on your pink speed boat.

HOLY HOLOGRAM

From hologram heels to hologram bags – accessories in the sic-fi look are this season’s must-haves. While brave fashionistas – and I’m thinking of the likes of Anna dell Russo – opt for a holographic head-to-toe look, I prefer the subtle approach. Meaning? Only one holographic highlight per outfit. Hologram accessories are the perfect way to give your look that little futuristic twist and make a subtle fashion statement. These two bags from the HUGO Summer 2013 Collection – which is out now – will instantly beam your look to space.
