There’s not too much information available on the A Taste Of Struggle project. But who needs background info if the music itself is just simply amazing? The debut of producers Amos & Truenoys appears on London’s first rate Deep Medi Musik imprint and features classy remixes by Skream and Commodo and further is flanked by a great video. So it’s only logical people like BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobb would sit up and take notice. Check out the track right here to get your taste of this promising talent!

COMA CUT
[HearDis! 349]
New week, new music everybody! And this is quite a filet mignon of music we’re serving right here: Coma is the production-alias of Marius Bubat and Georg Conrad, who like to release quality records via Cologne’s powerhouse Kompakt. Their sophomore release is entitled “In Technicolor” and contains, besides stupendous original versions, also a fantastic remix by Brighton’s Dauwd, who turns “My Orbit” into the perfect soundtrack for one of those summer nights we’re currently yearning for. Play the track right here to get into that midsummer mindstate and hopefully the weather’s gonna do its deed…
SHE LIKES TO MOUSE
[HearDis! 351]
Mighty Mouse and Van She are both established producers who have a number of fantastic releases under their respective belts. 2010 they met at a mutual gig at Social Club in Paris. Good for them, you think? Good for you, we say! After this encounter they formed the super group Du Tonc and their first single is entitled “Darkness” and it’s just what the debut of a super group should sound like in our book. These two are definitely an act to watch for 2013, so check out the phenomenal video of “Darkness” and grab one of the free downloads right here!

[HearDis! 350]
Robotalco is one of those myths in modern day music: We don’t know the person behind it – all we can guess is that someone is from Italy and really knows their stuff. Check out the track “X Lines” right here and make sure to watch the video as well, as both deliver just that balearic summer vibe that we’ve been yearning for so long. Spectacular!
[YouTube zKAGF2y8Kts]MOTOR CITY WAVE
[HearDis! 348]
Detroit synth music at it’s best! It seems rather reasonable, that the type of music that made the soundtrack of the movie “Drive” so successful was also done rather properly in that very motor city in Michigan. Android Automatic is a Detroit-based synth music act and one can’t help but to phantasize about burning some rubber in a Chevrolet whilst listening to his productions. So, unsurprisingly, the song that we’re presenting right here is also named after a car model. So adjust your seat and start your journey!
HOUSE MUSIC WITH A PUNK SPIRIT
[HearDis! 341]
Alessandro Russo aka SLOK is an Italian house music enthusiast based in Paris. After having released some great tracks on numerous labels he now chooses to return to the underground approach of the music business by releasing on his own imprint Electronic Petz. And his first EP on there is quite the charmer! This puppy was conceived, composed, mixed and mastered by the man himself and you can feel the love and dedication in every bassdrum. Make sure to check out the magnificient “The Underground” right here and if you’re in Paris, try to stop by at one of his club nights. We sure would!
EASY AS ONE TWO THREE
[HearDis! 340]
Sunless ’97 are a three-piece band from Mexico and the UK. Luke Solomon is a legendary house producer, DJ and label owner from London. Sunless ’97 has a new single coming out called “Aurora II” and Mr. Solomon provides a solid remix. Sounds reasonable? We think so, too! Since we consider the resulting track to be rather phenomal, we provide you with a free download right here! So better be quick, (s)unless you want to miss out!
YOUNG GUN
[HearDis! 339]
Jacob Wiltshire is a 19-year-old producer from from Winchester, Britain. Just as the name of his hometown suggests, this prodigy focuses on creating dancefloor weapons that are truly pulsating, but always have a touching depth and beauty to them. His debut EP entitled “How It Is” touches ground on Hypercolour these days and is surely not to be missed! Stream the title track right here to get an idea what these kids today are capable of… Superb!
MIDAS’ TOUCH
[HearDis! 338]
Kate Boy is a four-piece band from Stockholm, Sweden. And boy, these guys are on to something! They’ve taken us by storm ever since we first heard of them. Be it the voice of singer Kate Akhurst, who is originally from Australia and now resides in Stockholm, or the band’s phenomenal arrangements and productions – we’re prediciting them a bright bright future! Make sure to say hello on their facebook page and check out the remix of Chicago’s own Houses of their debut single “Northern Lights”.
IN HOUSE WE TRUST
[HearDis! 334]
Germany’s own Kris Menace surely isn’t a stranger in the realms of electronic music, considering that he’s released numerous classy tracks on several labels over the years. Now it shouldn’t be too hard to guess what the outcome of him collaborating with an absolute legend of Chicago house would sound like… Quite a no-brainer, that that would be something house heads around the globe could have faith in, no? Yup, his latest single “Trusting me” features the one and only Robert Owens on vocals, who has significantly helped to shape the triumphal march of (t)his genre with his former group Fingers Inc and so many other projects and tracks. Calling Robert the voice of house music isn’t too much of an overstatement, if you ask us! The single comes with a load of top notch remixes (Le Crayon, Penner & Muder, Good Guy Mikesh & Filbuert etc.) and an incredible video shot by award winning Danish director Meeto Worre Kronborg Grevsen from We Make Colors (check it right here!). Trust us – you wouldn’t want to miss out on this one!
