I guess it’s high time for me to properly introduce myself. On my twitter profile, it says that “I’m your source to the fabulous world of HUGO BOSS providing you with all the inside information and the latest gossip.” That’s true. But apart from sharing the latest gossip and news on twitter, I also have a “real” job in the department of communication in our headquarters in Metzingen, Germany. I am a PR coordinator, twitter bird, blogger and fashion enthusiast. Our showroom is my second home and if you are looking for the latest issues of  fashion magazines, you are likely to find them in the pile on my desk. I am a huge fan of our latest HUGO Collection and currently craving this grey chunky knit dress.

When it comes to music, I count on HUGO Tracks, but since recently I am also a big fan of 30 Seconds to Mars. Might have something to do with Jared Leto being the face of our new HUGO Just Different fragrance.

My favorite shopping event of the year is VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out. Yesterday, we were celebrating FNO in our three stores in downtown NYC and today, I am flying back to Germany for the FNO in Duesseldorf. Swing by if you are there, tweet along and stay tuned for live-updates and exclusive news!

When it comes to Fashion, September is the month of change, the month in which we all get ready for the new season. The Fall/Winter collections arrive in store, fashion magazines release their bulkiest issue of the year and it’s time for the annual VOGUE Fashion’s Night Out, a night of after-hours shopping and FNO-exclusive events. It may look like we’ve ventured into the film business or that we are going a little nuts here at the HUGO BOSS headquarters, but neither is the case. The new HUGO Womenswear Collection for Fall/Winter 2011 shows you exactly how it’s done: Subtle tailoring, shimmering fabrics, leather details and a hint of the characteristic HUGO red add the cool-girl twist to the otherwise elegant looks.

When it comes to fashion, the fall/winter season has already started. With the new HUGO Menswear Collection hitting the stores, I find all my male colleagues obsessing over classic slim fit jackets and bright red knits. To put it in a nut-shell, the new season is all about the mix of classic tailoring and contemporary highlights, whether it’s a simple jacket with an oversized hood, pants with leather details or classic accessories in the bright HUGO red. Conclusion: Contemporary classics are the new cool!

Top model Sasha Pivovarova and model/actor Jamie Dornan, whom you may know from the movie “Marie Antoinette”, are sporting the chic and urban HUGO looks for the Fall/Winter season. The campaign was shot in a neglected building to emphasize the rough and individual style of the new HUGO Collection in a figurative way. I hope you love the new collection just as much as I do!

Our creative and innovative minds are always up for something new and astounding. Our latest coup is the new HUGO Eyewear Collection with some pretty great features: The innovative “double meniscus” hinge conceals the temple closing-mechanism, becoming a precious element and providing utmost flexibility without affecting the purity of the lines. The lightness and the post-modern style of the collection are typical for the HUGO brand.

There will be four shades available, which can also be combined with different satin-finish and matt colours. Time to throw away your contact lenses and see the world through one of the innovative HUGO Eyewear styles!
