DO THE ROMANTIC ROBOT

[HearDis! 317]

Oliver Ho alias Raudive, who picked his nom de plume referring to the Letvian writer and intellectual Konstantīns Raudive, is a British DJ and Producer. He’s been arousing enthusiasm amongst Club DJs for quite a while now with his mechanical – yet emotional – productions and releases. “Romantic Robot” is a solid floor filler, enhanced with a stripped down bassline, a vintage cowbell and hypnotic shakers. TWITTER-INSPIRED

Dear Tweethearts and HUGO Blog Followers,

I am excited to present you the very first twitter-inspired designs from the current HUGO Spring 2013 Collection. As a twitter-addict I am head over heels in love with the bird print. It’s so summery and it clearly makes a statement. The print comes in mint green and light pink on blouses, pants and scarfs. My advice: get your hands on one of those pieces before they’re gone.

XOXO
Miss HUGO BOSS

SCOTTISH SWEET TOOTH

[HearDis! 315]

Sophie is a Scottish producer who releases on the acclaimed Huntleys & Palmers imprint. “Nothing More To Say” is the type of house track that is just like a huge portion of pink cotton candy: Sooo sweet and sticky – yet you can’t help but to crave for more of it! Download it right here to indulge your sweet tooth! But careful: Don’t trip over a flamingo and try not to spill your lychee martini, while you’re grooving to this one into a rosy future on a white beach…

SEE YA LATER!

Good Day HUGO followers and followettes,

it’s Kasper once again sending you guys a little greeting from Copenhagen!
Just returned from Sónar Reykjavík where I had a crazy couple of days, playing alongside acts like Modeselektor, James Blake, Squarepusher, Trentemoller, Pachanga Boys and many others…
I had a lot of fun sharing some interesting moments and things I like with y’all (check the HUGO BOSS Youtube Channel and the HUGO BOSS Instagram page for some cool pics & flicks) throughout the last couple of months. You may won’t hear from me as frequently as you did lately on here, but I sure won’t be a stranger and will pop up here and there on the blog with a track, a recommendation or whatever… Just wanted to let you guys know I had a good old time! I’ll catch you guys later…

Cheers,
Kasper

THINKING ALLOWED

[HearDis! 316]

House heads all around the world are pinning their hopes on Australian DJ and Producer Tornado Wallace – and he doesn’t consider letting them down for a second! His newest Vinyl EP on ESP Institute (founded by the incredible Lovefingers) proves just that. Intelligently produced dance music that stimulates both – your rational and your emotional brain. Flanked by a beautiful artwork – what more could you ask for? Superb!

THE CHIC ESCAPE

Spotted in London last week: Kate Beckinsale trying to escape the paparazzi in an eye-catching blue HUGO coat. What can we learn from this snapshot? Lesson 1: Black and blue works perfectly together. Lesson 2: Getting caught in a chic outfit is better than slipping away unnoticed.

PUT YOUR BODY IN IT

[HearDis! 314]

Manhooker are Guiddo (DJ/Producer) and Mavin (Singer/Songwriter). They’re based in Berlin and for their first release, they receive support by legendary Ostgut Ton (the label behind the Berghain/Panorama Bar-family) and Cologne’s legendary Kompakt empire. Given all of that, it wouldn’t catch anyone off guard if this would be a house record in the word’s most classical sense, would it? Download the track right here and put your body in it! So, you’ll use the rhythm, and you dance and sing along, while you’re drowning in the song…

HUGO FASHION SHOW PIECES FOR HIM

These runway looks can actually make it to your closet! A small selection of seven womenswear and seven menswear looks from the HUGO Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Show is now available in selected stores and online. I’ve already picked my favorite womenswear looks on Saturday and now it’s time to serve the gentlemen. So here are my four personal highlight looks from the menswear section – the first two white and grey looks are very clean and reduced and the other two looks are more flamboyant and eye-catching. But there’s one thing all these looks have in common: They’re contemporary and progressive and therefore signature looks of the HUGO brand. I do love them all, how about you?!

OH MY! GOTH

[HearDis! 313]

Chelsea Wolfe hails from California’s capitol Sacramento and has already released three full-length LPs, with her latest being a collection of acoustic songs entitled “Unknown Rooms”. She now resides in Los Angeles and still likes to steal our heart with her expressive voice. Lust For Youth from Sweden cleverly turned the original of “Flatlands” into a stirring electro-goth track. Check it out right here, as we’re truly impressed by it!

THE HUGO FASHION SHOW PIECES – YES, WE DID IT AGAIN!

Whenever I am watching a fashion show I try to imagine the runway looks in everyday life – at the office, on the street, at the supermarket or the cinema. Most of the runway highlights of the couture houses are not made for everyday life. It’s different with HUGO though. And that’s exactly why I love the HUGO collections so much –  the looks are perfect for a big entrance on the runway and at the office – at least if you are not afraid of trends. So last year we started to select a few runway looks and sold them in our stores and online. The so-called HUGO Fashion Show Pieces were a huge success and so this season we’re doing it again. You can now shop a few highlight looks from the runway of the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2013  in our online stores and in selected stores worldwide. Here are my three favorite looks for women. If you scroll down you’ll find the selected stores carrying the HUGO Fashion Show Pieces. On Monday I will show you my favorites from the menswear section. Oh, and if you still have any questions about the looks or how to get your hands on them, just tweet me.

The HUGO Fashion Show Pieces are available online and at the following stores:

Germany: HUGO Store Berlin and HUGO Store Düsseldorf
France: HUGO Store Paris
UK: HUGO Store London
USA: HUGO Store New York and HUGO Store Aventura
Japan:  HUGO Store Osaka
Italy: HUGO Store Milan
Belgium: HUGO Store Antwerps

You can find all the store details in the HUGO BOSS Store Locator.
