Whenever I have some free time on my hands I head down to our showrooms to check out the newest pieces. The other day I peeked into the HUGO Menswear Showroom where the current HUGO Summer 2013 collection is on display. I fell in love with the straw trilby and the red bootlaces. Guess I’m all about details this season. And you?

Sounds refreshing? You bet! The colors of the two citrus fruits are perfect for summer – wear them with a tan and a cheerful attitude because that’s the way they work best. The fabulous pieces on the hangers are from the current HUGO Summer 2013 collection and now available in stores and online.

When I spotted these state-of-the-art black and white wedges in our HUGO showroom I felt more like admiring a piece of art than a pair of shoes. I think it is amazing how accessories – and especially shoes – have become small artworks over the past few years. This fact is also a superb reason for women to keep investing in shoes. Got my point, ladies?!

When it comes to denim there are two major trends this season. First, this summer is all about colors  - from pastel to vibrant. The denim color palette has never been so versatile. Secondly, it’s time to show your ankles! Denims are rolled up just high enough to show off the ankle. If you are tall, wear it with ballerinas or Espadrilles. Everyone else should go for wedges or high-heeled sandals. To a colorful summer!

After mullet dresses and skirts the short-front-long-back-trend has now reached tops and shirts. I spotted this eye-catching mullet shirt above in our HUGO Showroom the other day and I instantly could imagine myself sporting it with black leggings or skinny jeans and a pair of Espadrilles. I love the flowing fabric and the vibrant color. The mullet shirt is from the HUGO Summer 2013 collection and now available in stores.

Yesterday I’ve been rocking in Rio with no other than the infamous singer and songwriter Fergie! The gorgeous mom-to-be was sporting an elegant yet comfy look from the HUGO Spring 2013 collection. I really loved the summery colors and as you may already know printed pants are a huge trend this season. So thumbs up for Fergie!
The reason for our celebration was the opening of our two BOSS Stores in Rio at Shopping Leblon and the new Village Mall. Rio is a great place for shopping and partying and last night we had the perfect mix of both! I also had the pleasure to meet Brazilian actress Fernanda Paes Leme and BOSS model Alex Lundqvist.
