It is always amazing to see how the original sketch from the designer comes to life. From draft to sample to production to store. The sketches always inspire my imagination and help me focus on the pieces instead of the model and the look as a whole. This is also why I like to share them here on the HUGO Blog. So when I got my hands on a sketch of one of the twitter-inspired pieces I just had to show it to. A fitted blazer, a slim cut blouse and the HUGO signature slim cut cigarette pants – a contemporary and progressive look with a decent dose of playfulness.

Dear Tweethearts and HUGO Blog Followers,
I am excited to present you the very first twitter-inspired designs from the current HUGO Spring 2013 Collection. As a twitter-addict I am head over heels in love with the bird print. It’s so summery and it clearly makes a statement. The print comes in mint green and light pink on blouses, pants and scarfs. My advice: get your hands on one of those pieces before they’re gone.
XOXO
Miss HUGO BOSS

Spotted in London last week: Kate Beckinsale trying to escape the paparazzi in an eye-catching blue HUGO coat. What can we learn from this snapshot? Lesson 1: Black and blue works perfectly together. Lesson 2: Getting caught in a chic outfit is better than slipping away unnoticed.

These runway looks can actually make it to your closet! A small selection of seven womenswear and seven menswear looks from the HUGO Spring/Summer 2013 Fashion Show is now available in selected stores and online. I’ve already picked my favorite womenswear looks on Saturday and now it’s time to serve the gentlemen. So here are my four personal highlight looks from the menswear section – the first two white and grey looks are very clean and reduced and the other two looks are more flamboyant and eye-catching. But there’s one thing all these looks have in common: They’re contemporary and progressive and therefore signature looks of the HUGO brand. I do love them all, how about you?!

Whenever I am watching a fashion show I try to imagine the runway looks in everyday life – at the office, on the street, at the supermarket or the cinema. Most of the runway highlights of the couture houses are not made for everyday life. It’s different with HUGO though. And that’s exactly why I love the HUGO collections so much – the looks are perfect for a big entrance on the runway and at the office – at least if you are not afraid of trends. So last year we started to select a few runway looks and sold them in our stores and online. The so-called HUGO Fashion Show Pieces were a huge success and so this season we’re doing it again. You can now shop a few highlight looks from the runway of the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2013 in our online stores and in selected stores worldwide. Here are my three favorite looks for women. If you scroll down you’ll find the selected stores carrying the HUGO Fashion Show Pieces. On Monday I will show you my favorites from the menswear section. Oh, and if you still have any questions about the looks or how to get your hands on them, just tweet me.

The HUGO Fashion Show Pieces are available online and at the following stores:
Germany: HUGO Store Berlin and HUGO Store Düsseldorf
France: HUGO Store Paris
UK: HUGO Store London
USA: HUGO Store New York and HUGO Store Aventura
Japan: HUGO Store Osaka
Italy: HUGO Store Milan
Belgium: HUGO Store Antwerps
You can find all the store details in the HUGO BOSS Store Locator.

Yesterday I treated myself to this HUGO bag in a fabulous greenish turquoise color. Mint and turquoise pastel shades are my new favorite colors for spring. Fresh and sweet like candy!

Today I would like to show you two more stunning looks I spotted at the HUGO BOSS Berlinale Party last week. First up is German actress Jennifer Ulrich’s HUGO Spring 2013 look. The mix of bright pink and black is so much fun and great if you want to stand out from the crowd.
The second outfit I’d like to show you is actress Sandra von Ruffin’s look – a sheer blouse with printed pants from the HUGO Spring 2013 collection. I love sheer blouses, but I have to admit that they are quite difficult to wear. I recommend a simple camisole top underneath (business) or a lovely bra (party). Actress Sandra von Ruffin went for a simple bra turning the rather understated look into a sexy party outfit and gets full marks on my style scorecard!

When I heard that the gorgeous TV star and DJane Palina Rojinski would be spinning the records at our HUGO BOSS Berlinale Party I knew that I would spend the whole night on the dancefloor. And what can I say – that’s exactly what happened. The party theme was “Glamorous 20s” and the location was decorated accordingly. Food, music and drinks – all was inspired by the “Roaring 20s”.
Palina was rocking the house in a dress from the HUGO Winter 2012/2013 collection and had a great time according to her tweets. Great look, great sound, do I need to say more?!?

Happy Valentine’s Day, my dear HUGO Blog readers! I am happy to share this special Valentine’s Day message from HUGO Fragrances ambassador Jared Leto with you. Enjoy!
