I’m back with quite an unusual update from the kitchen. Yes, that’s right – for one evening I have transformed into a chef! I cooked Russian borsch for a DJ Cook Off Show during the Amsterdam Dance Event. The competition was judged by Paul Oakenfold, Dubfire and Dave Clarke. I didn’t win, but I really enjoyed the show itself. It made me think of cooking more often for friends and my loved ones.
it has been a while! A few weeks back, when I was in Berlin for the HUGO Show at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I had the pleasure of sitting down for a full length talk with the Creative Director of HUGO Womenswear, Mr. Eyan Allen. Eyan and I had only met briefly – yet pleasantly – before, thus an extended chat had long been overdue. So the fact that Interview Magazine had asked us to do a feature conversation for them came in more than handy! I had a great time and was really taken by Eyan’s kindness and his interesting takes on the numerous subjects (arts, creativity, etc.) we discussed. For the entire talk, make sure to pick up the November Issue (to be released on October 26th) of Interview Magazine Germany and for a brief foretaste, simply check out the clip! Hope you’re enjoying it as much as I did. See you guys soon!
Everyone!
The exciting days in my life just won’t seem to come to a dead end at the moment and I’m truly grateful for that…like this beautiful Sunday I got to spend at the Melt! Festival near Berlin on July 21st. Festivals are always so great to perform at, since, besides playing your own set, you get to see so many amazing acts, meet tons of inspiring people and reunite with many dear friends. And Melt!, which is presented by Intro Magazine (that being quite an indicator for high quality itself, by the way) was just plain and simply awesome this year!
As someone who played at several festivals, let me tell you: Never underestimate the importance of the right attire at a festival! For instance, my neat little HUGO clutch proved itself successful once again as a lifesaver with it’s perfect size for everything I needed that day!
Since I promised you guys that you’ll have the chance to look over my shoulder on various occasions: here’s my video diary of the day! Get prepared for loads of cool footage, including my live-set and numerous cameos from such illustrous names as Lana Del Rey, Justice and many more…simply hit “Play” for the whole shebang!
Nina here! If you followed my recent posts, you’re probably aware of the fact that Berlin Fashion Week was a crazy busy, yet really fun time for me this year. And when it comes to opportunities like seeing an exhibit on one of my favorite bands of all time, there’s is no way I’m gonna miss out! If you’re like me and can’t help but find yourself listening to New Order and Joy Division records over and over again for many many years, this would sooo have been your cup of tea! So the lovely people at HBC in Berlin were kind enough to host an exhibit on the entire history of the legendary New Order artworks from June 21st to July 4th and in case you missed it, well – here’s a little video wrap-up of this beautiful time! If you like what you see, make sure to stay tuned for more posts from my end… See ya!
I’m still a bit high on life from this sensational day, so I’ll keep things brief: On July 5th the big day had finally arrived where I got to sit in the front row of the HUGO Fashion Show at Berlin Fashion Week. I had goose bumps all over me from the very beginning and when I, at last, saw the models float down the runway to the special HUGO version of my song “For You” (which is still available for free download here, wink wink), my heart surely missed more than one beat! Sooo exciting! But you may see for yourselves: here’s a little video recap!
it’s Nina broadcasting live from Berlin Fashion Week! As if Berlin wasn’t magnificent and lively enough by itself, throughout Fashion Week with all its shows and notorious parties, it’s even more worth a trip and a guaranteed thrill. Speaking of shows, I can’t wait to see all the exquisite pieces HUGO will have on the menu at their show on Thursday! And speaking of HUGO, guess who was lucky enough to be invited to a fitting at the HUGO Store here in Berlin? Bingo! And of course, little old me couldn’t resist but to immediately fall in love with basically ALL the amazingly beautiful shoes I was shown at the store! Truly lost my heart to more than one pair, but you know, pretty shoes are always worth a sin… Anyway, can’t wait till Thursday’s here and I will get back to you from Berlin’s fashion frenzy!
…it’s globetrotting Nina here in Paris doing one of my favorite things in the world: working on new tracks on the road! Yet this time, it’s not just for simple reasons of channeling my creativity or bridging time gaps between my flights, but for a cause so special it’s hard for me to sit still: Lovely Kasper and I are both involved in creating the runway soundtrack for the HUGO Fashion Show Spring/Summer 2013 in Berlin on July 5th, 2012! I love the idea of the models showcasing the new HUGO collection on the runway in sync with my music and I can’t wait to see it all happen in Berlin! But now I better get back to work in my bedroom studio, cause I wanna do my best… See you guys!
Love, Nina
PS: The whole thing will be available for your downloading pleasure after the show…so stick around!
Nina here! As already inticated in my earlier posts, you guys can live in my pocket for some time and accompany me on my travels! And what greater place to launch my tour diary than Paris? I wouldn’t even know where to start if I had to list all the things i adore about this beautiful city, but…well, why not start with these delicious chouquettes I just had? Trust me, they taste as yummy as they look and are absolutely to die for! Anyways, I’ll be posting fine and fun things I get to see on a frequent basis, so keep checking the blog and the instagram page! Au revoir!
Hi Everyone,
My Name is Nina Kraviz and I am a DJ and Producer from Moscow, aaaand: proud new member of the HUGO Tracks family! Eversince I released my debut Album earlier this year, I have been crazy busy travelling the world. And since I’m pretty interested in details and accessoires, I’ll be taking you guys on the road with me by continually blogging about exciting stuff and places I get to see. To get some rest from all the travelling, I like to indulge in watching good films and enjoying fine food.
As Kasper already informed you guys earlier, we had a great time at the Zoo Magazine shoot in Paris and I hope you’re enjoying the pictures as much as I do. Of course, I couldn’t introduce myself here without a little video greeting. I’ll be getting back to you with more fun things pretty soon, so make sure to stick around!
