100% Silk is a label spun off from LA’s Not Not Fun imprint. Since January of 2011, they’ve been releasing twelve-inches (and even some cassettes!) showcasing left-of-center, warm electronic music. Fort Romeau – a side project of La Roux keyboard player, Mike Norris – is their newest signing and the first artist to release a full LP on the label. The album, Kingdoms, is a meditation on Larry Heard and Theo Parrish-inspired house, with off-kilter grooves held up by thick, analog bass drums.
