PATTERNED!

Time to expose your kneecaps, gentlemen! Short pants are back this summer and patterned ones like the one from HUGO pictured above are the “dernier cri”. Wear them with a classic white shirt or a shirt in one of the pattern’s colors and you will master this summer in a very elegant and modern way.

STREAM THE BASS

[HearDis! 358]

Bomb The Bass have really been around for a while now! Remember “Beat Dis”? Well, these guys truly helped moulding late 1980s acid house. These days, Tim Simenon and Paul Conboy are returning with a new track entitled “Wandering Star” and an album is supposed to drop later in 2013. A tour is in the making as well! Check out the remix by Ken Hayakawa right here to hear how they didn’t loose touch!

POPSICLE DRESSES

These two dresses remind me of a popsicle – colorful, fresh and very summery yet classy and elegant. They are from the HUGO Summer 2013 collection, which is now available in stores.

NOT SO UPTIGHT

Actor David Kross leads by example at the New Faces Award 2013 in Berlin opting for an elegant yet not uptight look wearing HUGO Spring 2013. The missing tie and the brown belt and shoes add a laid-back attitude. Perfect for after show parties and other not so uptight events!

WHEN IN FRANCE…

[HearDis! 360]

After several experimental rock albums Turzi decided to change both, the sound and the name of the band: With a name like Turzi Electronique Expérience it’s clear for everybody what to expect. The Track „En France“, taken from the album “Education“, sounds like a short cut through the history of electronic music, linking Kraftwerk with Jean-Michel Jarre and arriving on some Balearic island where Pantha du Prince already ordered a drink for you. Does this sound a little bit strange? Well, you better hear for yourselves!

A DASH OF LIME

Actress Nadine Warmuth stepped out on the red carpet of the New Faces Award in Berlin in a dashing look from HUGO Spring 2013 the other day. Her look unites three major summer trends – white, pastel colors and holographic details and accessories. Bravo!

LACE AND COLORS

Give me lace and colors! Now! The nude lace dress from HUGO Summer 2013 has caught my eye. It’s the perfect dress for a garden party. Also on my wish list: A yellow blouse and some yellow jeans – rolled up, of course.

BEAUTIFUL STRUGGLE

[HearDis! 353]

There’s not too much information available on the A Taste Of Struggle project. But who needs background info if the music itself is just simply amazing? The debut of producers Amos & Truenoys appears on London’s first rate Deep Medi Musik imprint and features classy remixes by Skream and Commodo and further is flanked by a great video. So it’s only logical people like BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobb would sit up and take notice. Check out the track right here to get your taste of this promising talent!
