Golden Bug is back with a twisted disco number featuring the high falsetto of Lou Teti. It’s weird and it’s contorted, and even though the song’s called “Play Around,” it really doesn’t seem like Golden Bug is playing around in the least.

Let’s get rid of coats! Spring has finally arrived and here’s how to style a suit for chilly spring nights: Simply add a cardigan underneath the jacket. Sounds old-fashioned? Well, let me assure you that old-fashioned is the new cool. The German actors Matthias Schweighöfer and Alexander Fehling set a good example: Both looked dapper in HUGO at the premiere of the movie “Russendisko” last Wednesday. While Alexander kept his look casual with a basic t-shirt, Matthias went all the way by adding a white shirt and nerd glasses.

I was never a big fan of geometry lessons, but when top model Kasia Struss wants to teach us how to work this season’s key trend, I’m definitely in. This isn’t math, but bold prints using geometric shapes and patterns to create lines, definition, and symmetric prints in clothing. The most important formula: Go for one highlight piece and keep the rest of the look simple. It’s as easy as that!

The HUGO looks that model Kasia Struss is wearing are from the current HUGO collection which is now available in stores and online.
120 Days are a Norwegian group making heavily electronic, new-wave-tinged rock. They’ve been making music together for a decade, but 2011 saw the release of only their second record. The record’s been on heavy rotation in the HUGO offices since it came out, and we’re happy to present “Dahle Disco,” one of our favorite tracks, to you here. If you wanna catch up with the band, you can find them here on Facebook.

Tiger Stripes, a Stockholm-based producer we’ve been listening to for half a decade, has never been known for his vocals. The beat maker has made brilliant instrumental tracks on Get Physical and Liebe*detail, but it was My Favorite Robot Records that coaxed him out of his shell to sing. For his vocal debut, Mister Stripes has chosen a classic – old blues man Robert Johnson’s story of selling his soul to the devil, “Crossroads.” We’ve got the Phonogenic remix up for free download for the next couple days. Get it before it’s gone.

The Phenomenal Handclap Band is a veritable army of musicians from Brooklyn led by producers Daniel Collás and Sean Marquand. Onstage, we’ve seen fourteen or fifteen people performing in the group. We’re not really sure exactly how many… There were too many to count! No matter how many people are in the band, they sound great, and this track, “The Right One”, from their recent album, Form and Control is a treat.

Our wardrobe gets sugar-coated this summer in ice-cream shades. Seriously, pastel colors are one of the major trends for Spring/Summer 2012. So this soft strawberry ice-cream pink is my personal favorite of all the pastel shades and I really like how the geometric detail and minimalist cut prevent the dress from being too sugary. I first laid eyes on this HUGO dress when I saw actress Hilary Swank wear it at the HUGO Fashion Show, although I wouldn’t necessarily pair it with black accessories. Instead I’d go for accessories in other candy colors. Yum!
