Data MC "Fever (Phonique & Tigerskin Remix)"

Data MC is a Berlin trio making energetic music that hovers somewhere between hip-hop and Ed Banger-style electro-house. This version of their song, 'Fever', remixed by Phonique and Tigerskin, adds loopy disco into the fold to smooth out all the jagged edges.

Mario & Vidis (Feat. Ernesto) "Changed (Radio Edit)"

An airy, breathy, beautiful number by Mario and Vidis, "Changed" is just the kind of song we want to hear at the beginning of a night. Also at the end of a night. And the middle of the night. And the day… Really, we'd be happy if this song came on anytime, anywhere.

Gold Fields "Treehouse"

Gold Fields are an Aussie band that we think is bound for great things. 'Treehouse', their first single, has all the trappings of a great song: oohs and ahs, sweet harmonies and thick textures. And best of all, it was recorded in their bedroom, which we always like to hear.

We Trust "Time (Better Not Stop)"

It's hard to find out much information about We Trust online, but one thing is for sure. The video for this song is amazing. And the song is excellent as well. An ode to keeping on keeping on, the only lyrics are "Better Not Stop Moving." We couldn't agree more.

The One AM Radio "Sunlight"

Quite appropriately, the band bringing us a song called 'Sunlight' this month is from Los Angeles. The One AM Radio isn't singing about it in a stereotypically LA kind of way, though. It's more of a melancholy take: "Come on sunlight. Get me out of here alive." Heavy!

Dutch Uncles "Cadenza (Delphic Remix)"

Dutch Uncles are a band of gents from the suburbs of Manchester. Their music is exciting and unexpected, yet still easy to grasp. 'Cadenza' is the title track from their most recent album, here reworked by fellow Mancunians, Delphic, who have straightened out the odd time signatures of the original into something more fit for the traditional dancefloor.

Out Of City "Galactica (Simone Fedi Remix)"

The original of this song by Out of City, a band from the small Italian town called Prato, is a slowed down, classic electro groover. Simone Fedi (who's actually one of Out of City's members) grows the song into a more tribal, spacey affair in his remix.

Pacific! (Feat. El Perro Del Mar) "Unspoken"

Pacific! is a Swedish band signed to Alan Braxe's Vulture label. Clearly influenced by the strange things that happen when the days are dramatically long for one half of the year and dramatically short for the other, 'Unspoken', a song from their sophomore release, would fit wonderfully in background of Twin Peaks or some other David Lynch creation.
