VOICES IN MY HEADTHREE FREE DOWNLOADS

For today, we decided to concentrate on different approaches to adding vocals to electronic music. The three tracks are far from the standard electro pop fare and each has a unique way to mix organic and electronic elements.

DAMH "Black Night"
The first of the three tracks comes from a new duo, comprising two seasoned German producers: Ada and David Hasert joined forces for DAMH (short for “Dog Ate My Homework”) and recently released their first single, entitled “Black Night”, originally written by folk pioneer Bob Lind. The two producers have made it into a smooth and minimal techno ballad, interspersed with weird sounds and graced by the slightly dreamy interplay of Ada’s and David’s vocals.

Bob Moses "All I Want (Original Mix)"
We gave the duo Bob Moses their HUGO Tracks introduction at the end of 2013 and are delighted to offer yet another of their tracks as a free download. They were signed to legendary label Domino recently where they released a cover of the soul classic “I Ain’t Gonna Be The First To Cry”. But soul always was an important element of their version of house, as shown by “All I Want” from last years EP “Far From The Tree”.

King Pearly "Re-Foolish"
London -based producer King Pearly closes this selection with yet another take on vocals. In “Re-Foolish”, he takes the listener to a new dimension of deep and dark R’n’B, fuelled by aggressive synthesizer sounds and razor-sharp drum beats. Grab this potential basement party anthem while supplies last!
