The cotton produced is 100% rain fed, so no extra water is needed. Smallholder farmers are supported by this initiative that is working to promote gender equality, dignified labour conditions, and respect for the rights of children. There is no use of genetically modified organisms, and participants are trained in climate-friendly agricultural methods and organic farming.
