BOSS has made contemporary art part of its brand for years. The 2018 holiday collection with New York-based illustrator and artist Jeremyville is the latest collaboration. “Every project starts with a drawing in my sketchbook, and it grows from there,” Jeremyville says. This time, what emerged from his sketchbook was a range of animal characters and deconstructions of an imaginary city—“totems to the holidays,” he calls them. This high-contrast evening ensemble benefits from a conversation-piece accessory that lets the geometric Jeremyville designs shine. Will the clutch or the dinner jacket make a bigger splash? A suave turtleneck (virgin wool with silk) completes the look.
A reversible satin bomber jacket anchors this upscale-sporty ensemble. There’s a black-on-black Jeremyville pattern on the inside; when it comes to the Italian-made leather sneakers, the pattern screams loud and clear. The chinos are not for slouches: they’re a rich, heavy, Italian stretch-cotton twill.
