As part of our commitment to finding more responsible ways to produce and finish our garments, we introduce the new BOSS Traceable Wool Capsule Collection. The new designs have been created with the assurance that the entire manufacturing process is meticulously supervised and tracked – from the origins of the wool to the finished product. The resulting collection, crafted from Merino wool, has been created with the highest level of welfare and sustainable production practices.
The wool used within the BOSS Traceable Wool Capsule Collection is from certified growers who adhere to the highest animal welfare standards, including being mulesing free. Mulesing is a painful procedure which attempts to reduce the attack of flies on the sheep’s skin, but this can be managed in other ways.
The wool is prepared, dyed and spun in Italy, by weaver REDA, an iconic family company defined by excellence. REDA ensures that every step in the production process is traceable and has been a partner of HUGO BOSS for more than 30 years. Additionally, HUGO BOSS partners with others like the Marzotto Group that shares similar values, maintains the same high quality standards and adheres to ethical guidelines.
All garments from the capsule are made in our own production facility, based in Izmir, Turkey.
