Credit/Debit Card Payment

The following credit/debit cards are accepted in the HUGO BOSS Online Store:


• MasterCard

• American Express

Placing your order authorizes HUGO BOSS to charge your credit/debit card account with the purchase amount. Payment will be taken as soon as you have placed your order. In order to avoid delays in processing your order, please ensure that your name, card number, expiry date and security code are entered correctly as displayed on your card.

The security code is the last 3 digits printed over the top of the signature field on the back of your MasterCard or VISA card. On American Express cards, the 4-digit security code is printed on the front of the card, to the right above your card number.

3D Secure for Visa, Mastercard and American Express
As of 1 January 2021, the EU's revised Payment Services Directive (PSD2) regulating the authentication of online payments will go into effect. PSD2 introduces Strong Customer Authentication (SCA), which contains several new requirements for the security of online payments.
For this reason, you will be asked to confirm your identity during the payment process as an extra step. This additional step is required to ensure it is really you making the payment, thus providing additional protection against fraudulent activity. Please note that once SCA becomes mandatory, unauthenticated transactions may be declined. To protect your data from unauthorised access by third parties, we use tested encryption technologies.

What do you need to do?
If not already done so, please contact your issuing bank and ensure your credit card is activated for MasterCard Identity Check, Verified by Visa, and/or Safekey by Amex. As a general rule, your bank may offer various options for using 3D Secure. The most common methods include special apps or codes via SMS. Once set up, future card payments are further secured.
